Upstairs Landing Renovation: Just A Quick Refresh

This was another quick area of the home for us to tackle. It was really just a lot of paint! And nothing too serious on the reno side.

The Plan:

  • Remove old curtains and curtain rod
  • Update electrical (swap out for new white receptacles and plates)
  • New light fixture
  • Paint walls and stairwell white
  • Add family photo gallery wall
  • Add furniture
Before:

Check out the videos below, we did a quick paint job of the walls and entire stairwell. We went from the yellow tone to a nice bright white/light grey (it’s called American White from Benjamin Moore).

During:

And then, just like that is was done!

I LOVED doing this gallery wall. I had a lot of photos printed from Shutterfly so I could play around with them and make my final selections – which was super hard! Because I love all our family photos and wanted to hang up every single one.

And of course, since this is a Victorian home we added a green velvet chaise lounge for a pop of colour.
