Picking An Investment Strategy

One of the things I LOVE about real estate investing is that there are so many ways to do it! House flipping? Vacation Rentals? Rent to Owns? The BRRR strategy? The list goes on.

My recommendation of what real estate strategy YOU should do depends on a few things:

  1. Your risk tolerance level
  2. The money you have for the project
  3. What level of involvement you are looking for

Of course, more things can factor in, and to be honest it is a longer conversation we should have. (So reach out to me to have that conversation!)

In the meantime, check out the eBook below that outlines some of the popular real estate investing methods and their risk level/money requirements/etc. It’s a good place to start!

Finding The Right Property

This does circle back to the type of investment strategy you are interested in. Certain locations are better than others for specific strategies.

For example, if you’re looking to do AirBnB’s choosing a location that has enough tourism to support it, is close to activities, and is a unique property that will attract good attention is key.

Likewise if you’re interested in student rentals being close to a college or university is obviously necessary.

I always make sure my clients know what strategy they are interested in, and from there that determines the property I suggest they buy.

Numbers on a student rental look very different than a flip!

JV Partnership Opportunities

The fast answer is YES my husband and I do Joint Venture’s in our investments.

We certainly do love doing projects on our own sometimes, but we also LOVE passing on the knowledge and passion we have for real estate investing onto others.

Real estate investing has done amazing things for Dylan and I and helped us build wealth, and we are always happy to help ‘spread the wealth’ by joint ventures.

Construction Services

My husband and I do own a construction company (responsible for all of our renovation projects), as well as have many industry contacts (windows, electrical, plumbing) and relationships that we’ve developed over the years.

We’d be happy to help you with your investment property projects whether it’s a full renovation, or referrals to some smaller trades.

With us you get an eye for design (me) and a man that takes great pride in the quality of his craftmanship (Dylan).

Selling Off Investments

You know this already…but I am a licensed Realtor!

So when it comes time to sell an investment property in your portfolio I am here and happy to help.

And of course, as a fellow investor, I have experience and ‘inside’ knowledge selling investment properties.
