The Yellow Brick Flip, Our New Paris Investment
So here we go again!
We’ve purchased our next investment property – and this one is an exciting one. Why? Because it’s the first property we’ve purchased in my home town of Paris, Ont!
So here is what we bought a.k.a. The Before Photos:
Not to shabby, eh?
We’ve definitely seen (and bought) worse before!
So here is the rough idea… (high level)
The Exterior:
- New driveway & walkway
- All new windows (grey)
- New soffit/facia/downspouts (grey)
- Paint doors grey/blue
- Re-vamp front garden (start by removing giant bush…)
- Re-do back deck
- Paint back shed
- Remove backyard pond
The Interior:
- Strip all the wall paper, repair old plaster, paint white
- Pull up all the carpet (hopefully) exposing beautiful hardwood flooring
- Gut and re-do upstairs bathroom
- Enlarge master bedroom, add second closet
- Update wiring and replace light fixtures
- Gut and re-do kitchen
- Remove wall between kitchen and living room
- Turn back room into proper mudroom
- Re-do laundry room to be a laundry room and bathroom
Ok, I feel like this looks a bit like a dis-jointed mess! But it all makes sense in my head, and I can see the finished product and am excited to bring it to life!
Let the renovations begin!
